For generations, the Laurie family has worked the land with pride, dedication, and a deep respect for the agricultural heritage of South Alabama. Farming isn't just what we do—it's who we are. Long before the corn maze and family attractions welcomed visitors each fall, Laurie Farms was built on a foundation of hard work, family values, and a commitment to producing quality crops.
For years, our fields have been home to cotton and peanuts, two crops that have played an important role in the history and economy of our region. From planting in the spring to harvesting in the fall, farming has taught us the value of patience, perseverance, and stewardship of the land. Every season brings new challenges and new rewards, and we are proud to continue a tradition that has been passed down through generations.
As our farm grew, so did our desire to share the agricultural lifestyle with others. We recognized that many children and families were becoming further removed from the farm and the important role agriculture plays in everyday life. That's what inspired us to open our farm gates and create experiences that allow visitors to connect with the land, learn about farming, and enjoy quality time together outdoors.
Today, Laurie Farms is more than a working farm, it's a place where agriculture and family fun come together. Whether you're exploring the corn maze, enjoying a wagon ride, learning about crop production, or simply spending time with loved ones, you're experiencing a small piece of the life we've been blessed to live for generations.
Our mission is simple: to preserve our agricultural heritage, share the story of farming with future generations, and create a place where families can connect, make memories, and experience the beauty of life on the farm. Every visitor who comes through our gates becomes part of the Laurie Farms story, and we're honored to share that tradition with you.
